“Itwasn’t by chance that my company chose the City of Adelaide to build its first Next Generation Club in Australia. Adelaide has everything a modern city could wish for: a safe environment, a wonderful climate, superb cultural facilities and some of the friendliest people you’ll meet anywhere.

Since opening in December 1999, the Next Generation complex at Memorial Drive has quickly gained a reputation as Australia’s premier health, sporting, leisure and lifestyle centre. As you would expect, it boasts superb facilities and from a tennis perspective its hard court, grass court and European clay court surfaces (a total of 34 courts) provide the player with a variety unmatched by most other clubs.

Facilities are one thing, however to attain a level of excellence in the modern game of tennis, it is not only talent, drive and ambition that are required, but world class coaching.

Peter Smith is widely regarded as one of Australia’s top tennis coaches and is credited with the development of some of the world’s outstanding players including World No 1, Lleyton Hewitt and Australian Davis Cup Captain, John Fitzgerald. His passion and knowledge of the game are unrivalled and his natural coaching ability and techniques ensure that students reach their full potential. I was delighted when Peter and his coaching staff decided to base themselves permanently at the Club with the intention of developing a genuine world-class tennis academy.”
